2002
A Spark of Inspiration: Frustrated by the lack of quality in-person tutoring options, our founder David Serwitz launched Make The Grade, LLC while attending Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, CA. His mission was simple yet powerful: give students the support they deserve to reach their full potential.
2010
Expanding Horizons: What began as a California-based tutoring service soon grew beyond state lines. Seattle became the first of many new chapters, marking our expansion into communities across the country.
2017
Coast to Coast: With the opening of our 20th office in Washington, D.C., Grade Potential officially arrived on the East Coast, solidifying our role as a trusted tutoring partner from coast to coast.
2021
Rising to the Challenge: When the global pandemic disrupted classrooms everywhere, we rose to the moment. Our online Live Learning Platform brought tutors and students together virtually, ensuring learning never stopped no matter where students were.
2024
A New Era of Growth: After 22 successful years of empowering students nationwide and expanding to over 40 states, David partnered with his successor and Grade Potential's current CEO Jared Lenner. Together, they ushered in a new chapter, bringing even greater resources and opportunities to more students than ever before.
